High quality BCG as expect by JP and the price this BCG carries. The Carrier cycles great with the high polished finished and its quite light, lighter than my full titanium JLbillet BCG. Gas key was staked pretty good. The bolt is made of a higher quality steel than mil spec, built to last. It does come un-assembled minus gas key. So some knowledge is required if you haven't assembled one before.

The product itself is typical JP enterprises ie. excellent quality and a good value. Thr problem is the ad itself which misled me into believing that I was buying a 223 bolt carrier group but what I actually bought was a 6.5 Grendel bolt carrier group! Fortunately the carriers for both cartridges are the same so the fix was to buy a JP enhanced 223 bolt and switch it out but now I have to build a 6.5 Grendel AR! Oh well there are worse things in the world that could happen to me. And yes the 6.5 Grendel and 223 bolts are different; I could see the 6.5 Grendel bolt has a discernibly larger case diameter than the JP enhanced 223 bolt in one of my other ARs. Optics planet should edit out the references to 223 in the ad or add language making it clear that this a 6.5 bolt carrier group. Other than that great product fair price, and speedy shipping and carefully packaged.

Was always cautious of lightweight BCGs, but this JP LMOS BCG made me a believer. Bought my 3rd one, as i do run AGBs and you can really tune to perfection with gas, mass, and buffer spring / buffer weight setups. Allows you to find the sweet spot for the ammo you decide to run. I use these in my non “combat” rifles, as you can feel the difference and performance is top notch !
