Thought this looked like a good quality Bolt Carrier Group and believe I was right. Machined surfaces are much more refined than others. Bolt lugs seem to engage my Faxon Big Gunner barrel nicely and I like the fact they’re from the same manufacturer. Bolt is smooth and operates really well.

Checked headspace with Brownell's 16 inch Faxon barrel, checked out perfect. Operation good so far with manually cycling rounds, extraction was good, just need to shoot with it next. Not much else to say about it to get to my 200 character minimum 😉

Purchased this bolt along with a Faxon fluted barrel to match. After I assembled the AR using the faxon barrel and BCG I couldn’t get the rifle to cycle. After trouble shooting( this issue was obviously gas related), I changed out the gas block to adjustable type. When reassembling, I happened to find that the Gas key was not flush to the carrier of the BCG because of metal shavings that weren’t cleared after Faxon originally drilled the 2 gas key thread holes which allowed Gas to escape instead of driving the bolt back to cycle another round. After cleaning up the surface and reassembling the BCG the rifle has cycled with no issue. Although this could be one BCG out of a thousand, QC should have still caught this!

Bought this bcg ro finish a 6mm arc project. It is a "super finish " and seems to be just that, it is as smooth as butter. Works very well in my aero precision upper. Headspaced well in my barrel extension. My only disappointment is that the staking, while it hasnt come loose, isnt through to the screws. Looks like it needs a vouple of more hits to make it lock to the screws.

Tried the bbn Odin works and it has issues. the faxon 6.5 type 2 bcg runs like a champ where the Odin failed to perform. It's the better option for 6.5 ars. I would reccomend this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
