The SAE 9310 of the JP EnhancedBolt is a superior steel alloy in virtually every way compared to the C-158, whether in its resistance to structural failure or life expectancy, both of which far exceeding the Mil-spec. Just as with the transmission gears for Formula 1 racers which are also made from 9310, the operational demands of a bolt assembly are ideally suited to this state-of-the-art material, with actual full-auto endurance torture tests prove it. Beyond its material advantages, the design of the JP EnhancedBolt boasts many other advantages, including the addition of material around the cam pin hole to eliminate this inherent weak point of the bolt design itself. This bolt is amazing! No more primer flow even though I’m shooting hot loads and noticeably better accuracy. I put this in a CMMG bcg that was converted from a 308 to 6.5 creedmoor and it worked flawlessly.

Built a AR 6.5 Creedmoor upper of my choice of parts. Had considered a specialized BCG but went with a "Creedmoor rated" product. Took the upper to my local gun smith for head spacing and final checks before using, all good to go. On first use I adjusted the gas block for the ammo but I had primer cratering and a few pierced primers right away. My current bolt face and firing pin & pin channel measured in spec! Head scratcher for sure. After checking to see there was really no over pressure issues I decided not to get too deep into specialized buffer springs/weight systems or gas systems. I read up on the JP enhanced high pressure bolt and started with that. Turns out should I have used this bolt & firing pin combo in the first place. Dropped right in to replace the existing DPMS pattern bolt, perfect head space & no more primmer issued at all. Thank you JP!!!

I got one of these bolts in my 6.5 Grendel and one in my .50 Beowulf and they both perform great. No issues at all and Highly Recommended. I would however suggest ordering a good carrier of equal quality if you plan on using this bolt in a Beowulf do to the amount of force generated by the larger caliber.

This bolt cost more than my old bcg but it is worth it because my groups went from 2" with match ammo to 0.75" at 100 yards! 147 ball ammo was printing 6 to 8 inches now is around 2.5 to 3". I was also having an occasional punctured primer with my old bolt but the hp bolt no issues. Highly recommended

I recently completed an AR-10 build and while I was happy with the accuracy of my build I had ejection problems that led to double feeds approximately 20% of the time. I tried different magazines but that didn’t help. Then I purchased the JP enterprises enhanced bolt assembly which dropped into my current BCG without an issue and instantly fixed my ejection and double feed problems. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone who is having the common ejection problem with their AR-10.

They make a great product. Have used many other products in the past. Although optics planet shipping was very slow.. I wasn’t happy with that some items I ordered through them took over three weeks to arrive other sellers product Scott to me within 10 days.
